The comments about Ringo's recording of "She's About A Mover" indicate you might not be familiar with the original recording by the Sir Douglas Quintet from Texas, which was a decent sized US hit in 1965.

Indeed, I was not familiar with it. Thanks for the tip. For anyone else interested, here it is.
Even with that knowledge, I think it was a weird choice to cover. It sits pretty high for Ringo's voice, and is rather undistinguished as 12-bar pop songs go anyway. The repetitions of the title get pretty grating in both versions, although there's certainly more variety in that original version.
But now I feel like I have to switch that thumbnail review around a bit: Maybe Lennon rewrote this song as "Tight A$."

I fully agree with your comments about the song. The original was OK but did not merit a cover and definitely not by Ringo. As you fully note, that was not a strong period for Ringo (though for me nothing he has ever done was worse than Ringo the IV).
